Advanced Garmin Workouts
I used the Forerunner 305 Advanced Workout feature for this morning’s intervals:
- 1.5 mile warmup at 9:00-10:00/mile pace
- 1.0 mile at 8:00/mile pace
- 1 minute rest
- Repeat steps 2-3 4 times
- 1.5 mile easy 9:00-10:00 pace
I had to read the manual to figure out how to do it, but it worked very well. Pretty cool that it will not only tell you when step are complete, but it will also beep at you if you are outside of the target pace range. I spent most of reps 2-3 outside of the pace range (I couldn’t keep up) so it beeped at me most of the workout.
I am loving this watch. Now, if it would just do the running for me….
